Kangana Ranaut is on a rampage of sorts, over the last few weeks, with her interviews with Barkha Dutt and Rajat Sharma creating headlines for her bold confessions against Hrithik Roshan and Aditya Pancholi. And as if these weren’t enough, the lady released a video with AIB yesterday that has gone viral. In the parody video, Kangana has derided several issues such as heroes of 50 years of age and above being paired opposite actresses half their age, disparity between male and female actors, heroes getting more preferential treatment than heroines and that the actresses are treated as a mere sex objects.

While the general masses are absolutely loving the video and admiring Kangana for standing up against this highly patriarchal industry, the film industry doesn’t seem to be taking it too well. Many even believe that the actress is getting too arrogant for her own good. Once the video was released, Karan Johar took to Twitter to write, “Dear talent …I wish you would stay away from overconfidence and delusion….they are constantly conspiring against you…don’t you see it?” Although he didn’t mention any names, we would only be fools to not connect the dots. And looks like he is not alone in giving out an indirect comment on the matter. TV czarina, Ekta Kapoor also took to Twitter to comment on, what we believe could be a reference to Kangana’s vagina rant in the song. Additionally, she spoke about the Test Case, which is a 2017 Hindi web series on her digital space ALTBalaji, that is based on Indian Army’s first female test case . It will have a woman officer named Shikha Sharma, who’ll do anything to fit into a male dominated society.

She also spoke about Nirmala Sitharaman going on to become the first woman to become a Defence Minister in the history of Indian politics. The Modi Government took the decision just a few days ago. Was this a jibe at Kangana and a way of telling her that the society is not as patriarchal as the way she perceives it? Well, it could be anything and given that she hasn’t mentioned any names, we could only be guessing in this particular instance. Meanwhile, Kangana’s upcoming film, Simran, is slated to release this Friday, on 15th September.
