Television loved couple Gurmeet Choudhary and Debina Bonnerjee will be parents soon and the excitement is palpable! Well, it is heartening to see so many celebs from our showbiz world to embrace parenthood and TV’s on-screen Ram and Sita has joined this bandwagon! Whoa, according to Times of India, the couple have adopted two twin girls and will get them home on March 15, two days after Holi. Now, that’s amazing, right? So, the couple opted for adoption and chose Pooja and Late, aged six and nine to be their children. According to the daily, the couple will drive down to Jarampur, a village in Bihar which also is Gurmeet’s hometown, and get their kids home.
Well, the couple took the decision to adopt these girls after they were orphaned, Gurmeet’s relatives stay in Jarampur and therefore knew the kids since 2014. He revealed, “After hearing about their plight from my mother I discussed them with my wife. Debina agreed with me that it was time to give the kids a home, a deserving education and my last name,” says Gurmeet, admitting that he had taken an instant liking to them and had been discussing their well-being with his mother over the last two years.“ALSO READ: Valentines Day 2017: 7 Telly couples who give ideal relationship goals with their prefect love life!
Now, all the procedures are complete and the proud parents can finally get their girls home. He sounded emotional as he revealed, “All the paperwork is done. We will be going to Jarampur for the final signatures after Holi. It is a two-day process. Everybody, including my parents, keep asking me when I’m planning a baby. Well, it’s official now, I’m bringing home two daughters and we couldn’t be more excited.”
The couple has a whole plan chalked out for the girls as they don’t want them to be suddenly lost in a big city. The kids will continue their studies in Patna first and a year later will shift permanently in Mumbai with the telly couple. He spoke about this and added, “After one academic year, they will shift in with us in our Andheri home by 2018. My brother and his family live in Patna and they will be around to see that they are well cared for. Debina and I will travel to Patna three-four times in the year and stay there through their summer vacation too.”
