There is some sad news for Ajith fans. We hear that Thala (as he is fondly called) will be out of action for the next three months and be on complete bed rest as he underwent a shoulder surgery in Chennai just couple of days back. Which is why Ajith, who is celebrating the resounding success of his last release, Vivegam has been advised rest for over 45 days. The shoulder injury took place when he was shooting for Vivegam in Bulgaria. Apparently, the surgery, which was carried out in a private hospital in Chennai went for almost two hours.

Ajith performed most of the stunts in Vivegam by himself, and it is while he was shooting a high octane action sequence that the stunt went wrong and he ended up injuring his shoulder. Recent reports also suggest that he has been recovering well from the surgery. I mean, this is not the first time, he has underwent a surgery. Ajith has had quite an eventful career and he keeps sustaining injuries in every film he does. But being the fighter that he has, he strikes back every time and starts shooting for another film immediately. It is said that Ajith had undergone a knee surgery few days back before he heard the script of Vivegam. Thala heard the script when he was on crutches post the surgery and it kind of worried director Siva, who was not sure if Ajith will be able to recover in time and start shooting for his film. But then Ajith not only recovered, he also got super fit and gained those muscles that were required for his role in no time.

That’s some dedication, no?
