Gautam Rode and Zareen Khan starrer, which released on Friday, had a low opening on its release date at the box office. the erotic thriller hardly had any occupancy in the theatre, the film, which took a slow start, failed to see any growth in the evening and the night shows. According to the well-known film critic and business analyst Taran Adarsh, the film has earned Rs 1.44 crore in India on day 1.
It’s pretty obvious that Aksar 2 is going to face competition from Vidya Balan’s Tumhari Sulu, but we could still expect the film to take a good jump over the weekend and also, word of mouth can do the magic. The film has not received great reviews either. Though critics have praised Gautam Rode’s performance in the film, they feel, Aksar 2 is a movie that begins well, but quickly crumbles to a point of no return. Aksar 2 is an Indian thriller film, helmed by Anant Mahadevan. The film is the sequel to 2006 film Aksar. The first part starred Emraan Hashmi and Udita Goswami; the films had some very popular Himesh Reshammiya songs ‘Jhalak Dikhla Ja’ and ‘Soniye’. Aksar was one among the popular films of the year after its release. Aksar 2 is a tale of love, conspiracy and deceit. In the sequel, Zareen Khan shows her sensuous avatar. Besides Zareen and Gautam, the film also features Mohit Madaan and Abhinav Shukla in the lead roles.
