Taking us all on a carpet ride of 90’s nostalgia, the makers of Aladdin, starring Will Smith as the genie, Mena Massoud as the titular character and Naomi Scott as Princess Jasmine, had dropped the trailer of the much-awaited film earlier but as the fans were waiting on the edge, the makers have now surprised them by unveiling the trailer in multiple languages. In lieu of the same, recent reports have it that the F2: Fun & Frustration stars, Venkatesh Daggubati and Varun Tej, have been roped in to lend their voices for the film so as to appeal to the Telugu speaking audiences here in India.
Gripping the Box Office in its frenzy, F2 was the first hit of Telugu cinema in 2019. While Venkatesh is now gearing up for Venky Mama, a KS Ravindra directorial, also starring Akkineni Naga Chaitanya, Varun Tej is shooting for the Telugu remake of Jigarthaanda, titled Valmiki and helmed by Harish Shankar.
The movie Aladdin is a thrilling and vibrant live-action adaptation of Disney’s animated classic, based on the exciting tale of a charming street boy Aladdin living in the fictitious port city of Agrabah, the courageous and self-determined Princess Jasmine and the Genie who may be the key to their future. Directed by Guy Ritchie, the screenplay is written by John August and Ritchie based on Disney’s Aladdin. The film also stars Marwan Kenzari as Jafar, Navid Negahban as the Sultan, Nasim Pedrad as Dalia and Billy Magnussen as Prince Anders apart from Will, Mena and Naomi.
The movie will hit the cinema screens on May 24.
