Bollywood actor Alok Nath, who was accused of rape and sexual harassment by writer-producer #Vinta Nanda and later expelled by Cine and TV Artistes Association (CINTAA), after a no-show at a meeting held on November 12, 2018 – is now a part of a film based on #MeToo movement. Yes, you read that right.

According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, the actor will be seen playing the role of a judge in the film titled Main Bhi. When he was asked about the film, Alok said, “I’m not doing any films at the moment. This was something I shot for a while ago. Is there a problem? You sound sad that I’m doing a film. It’s a puny role for poor producers, let it release.”

Main Bhi is directed by Nasir Khan and also stars Khalid Siddiqui, Shawar Ali, Imran Khan, Mukesh Khanna and Shahbaz Khan in pivotal roles. Talking about the film, Khalid revealed to the tabloid that Alok Nath will be giving a speech in the climax stating how molestation is wrong.

The Tara actor had recently been granted anticipatory bail in the case by the Sessions Court at Dindoshi in Mumbai. He had gone into hiding after Vinta registered a complaint against him in October at the Oshiwara Police Station for sexually assaulting her nearly two decades back.

Alok had earlier responded to the rape allegations by saying that he neither denied nor accepted the charges levelled against him by the Tara producer and that it (the rape) “might have happened but someone else would have done it”.

After Vinta Nanda, actors like Sandhya Mridul, Himani Shivpuri and Deepika Amin also accused Alok Nath of sexual harassment.

On the professional front, Alok Nath was last seen in Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety as Ghasitaram in 2018.
