Megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s daughter Shweta Nanda’s father-in-law Rajan Nanda passed away at 76 on Monday. The veteran actor along with Abhishek Bachchan, Rishi Kapoor and Karisma Kapoor attended the prayer meet which was held at Taj Palace on Tuesday evening. The celebs paid their last respects to the industrialist.
Big B was shooting for his upcoming film Brahmastra in Bulgaria and as soon as he came to know about Rajan’s demise, he rushed to Delhi in order to be with Shweta’s family.
Amitabh also thanked fans for their concern. He took to micro-blogging site Twitter and wrote, “the messages of condolences are greatly and humbly acknowledged .. they speak of your affection and concern .. they convey the spirit and love of the Ef .. thank you.”

Earlier, Rishi Kapoor’s daughter Ridhima Kapoor expressed grief over his demise. She wrote, “You were & will always be a legend! Thank you for all the love always – will miss you so much uncle – until we meet again…”
Shweta’s father-in-law Rajan Nanda was married to Raj Kapoor’s eldest daughter Ritu Nanda. He was the Chairman and Managing Director of Escorts Limited.
