Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli tied the knot in a beautiful Tuscany wedding away from the prying eyes of the media and the fans on December 11. While they had a private ceremony with only a few friends and family for company, they decided to host two grand reception parties in Delhi and Mumbai on December 21 and December 26 respectively. The Delhi reception is being held tonight at the Durbar Hall, Taj Diplomatic Enclave, with well known celebs from the business, fashion and political circuits in attendance. Yesterday, the couple had gone to visit Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi in his office to personally invite him for their wedding reception in the capital city. And staying true to his word, he graced the occasion and also posed with the couple for the photographers.
The couple were looking regal in their Sabyasachi attires. While the actress looked resplendent in an elegant red saree, the cricket star chose a simple black and gold sherwani. Before they entered the venue, they posed for the shutterbugs being extremely comfortable in each other’s company, laughing, smiling and posing one after another. The couple looked much in love as they couldn’t take their eyes off each other and that’s what made them even more endearing. Once they got done with the photo ops, they entered the venue to attend to the political dignitaries, industrialists and other important people, besides their family and friends who came to personally congratulate and bless them. We have got our hands on a pic of PM Narendra Modi posing with the couple. Virat’s friends and newly wed couple, Zaheer Khan-Sagarika Ghatge and Yuvraj Singh-Hazel Keech among others are also expected to be a part of the celebrations tonight. The couple is also said to be hosting a gala dinner for their guests at the Darbar Hall of Taj, New Delhi tonight. After tonight, the couple will be heading to Mumbai where they will be hosting another reception there for their friends from the cricket and film fraternity on December 26. Watch out for this space, as we share more pics from the reception tonight.
