The sudden death of APJ Abul Kalam has left the whole nation mourning at the huge loss. The whole team of I am Kalam has been left nostalgic after the death of the national hero. The director of the critically acclaimed film, Nila Madhab Panda, is now planning to make a biopic on the late missionary’s life. The director in a conversation with the leading daily revealed that he would love to make a biopic on APJ Abdul Kalam if he is offered a chance and support for the same. The daily quoted, “I would love to make a biopic on him if given a chance and things like financial resources and other things. I think such film on his life has to be made to ensure he remain alive in our memories.”

Nila Madhab Panda’s film I am Kalam was critically acclaimed and received the best story award by Filmfare in 2002. The movie was shown to the former president in the year 2011. Bollywood actor Gulshan Grover played a dhaba owner in the film and was so impressed with the script that he did it for free.

Gulshan has been popular as a Bad Man in bollywood and always dons different getup for his every role. Hence, he is keen to take Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam’s role and won’t mind changing his look for the film as well. The senior actor is inspired by the late scientist’s contribution to the country and hence wants to take up the role.
