Arjun Kapoor is one the most talented actor we have in Bollywood today and the actor has been choosing roles carefully, to showcase his versatility. After regaling us with Mubarakan last year, the actor is now getting ready to entertain us in Sandeep Aur Pinky Farar and Namaste England this year. Not just this, he is also touted to play the lead in the Hindi remake of Malayalam film, Premam. The film will be directed by Abhishek Kapoor. According to reports, Arjun will play the character played by Nivin Pauly in this 2015 release.
The film’s story traced the male lead’s love life in three stages – adolescent, youngster and as an adult. Like the original film, the Hindi remake with Arjun Kapoor may also star three leading ladies. But nothing is known as yet on that front. Quoting a source, a report on Bollywoodlife says, “Arjun might soon be on-board for the Hindi remake of Premam. Abhishek Kapoor is currently working on the script while simultaneously working on Kedarnath. The female leads are being finalised.”
The Malayalam film was directed by Alphonse Puthren and was also remade in Telugu, with Naga Chaitanya as the male lead. The Telugu film was directed by Chandoo Mondeti and now the Hindi version will be helmed by Kedarnath director Abhishek Kapoor. This will be Arjun’s second film that is being remade from a South Indian film. He is already finalised for the Hindi version of Arjun Reddy, which starred Vijay Deverakonda.
Meanwhile, Arjun’s Namaste England has got a new release date. Initially set for a December 7 release, the film, where he stars opposite his Ishaqzaade co-star Parineeti Chopra, will now release on Dusshera, October 19. The film is directed by Vipul Amrutlal Shah and is the second of a franchise, the first being Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif’s Namastey London. The actor is also part of period film Panipat along with Sanjay Dutt and Kriti Sanon. The film is slated for a 2019 release date.
