Arjun Kapoor‘s India’s Most Wanted is making headlines with its intriguing trailer that released yesterday. Now rumours are doing the rounds that the film is based on Yasin Bhatkal, co-founder of Indian Mujaheddin, who was captured in 2013 at the Nepal border.

Bhatkal was involved in many blasts in and around the country including Pune’s German Bakery blast, Bangalore stadium bombing, and blasts in Ahmedabad. Writer and director of the film Raj Kumar Gupta was earlier asked about the same to which he said, “I just want to say that it is inspired by true events. When you’ll watch the film, you will get to know what inspired it. It’s a watershed moment for Indian intelligence. Come and see it for yourself”.

The makers released the trailer yesterday.  Arjun Kapoor,  who plays the role of an intelligence officer puts his life at stake to save the country. Arjun keeps his intense look intact throughout the trailer. He does not care about losing his life or job, all he wants is to save the lives of innocents by catching the guilty. Arjun does a commendable job and the trailer seems very promising.

Yesterday at the trailer launch, Arjun reacted to the trolls attacking the actor for referencing verses from the Bhagavad Gita. Arjun said, “I am not a Hindu. I am not a Muslim. I am an Indian. We are all Indians who are making this film”.

Arjun said that it is easy for people to just sit at home and use words to rationalise thoughts. “People use religion to make others think in a certain way. We are making a film that is pro-Indian,” said the Ishaqzaade actor.

Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, the film also features Amrita Puri, Rajesh Sharma, Prashant and Shantilal Mukherjee in pivotal roles. Produced by Fox Star Studios, Myra Karn, and Raj Kumar Gupta himself, India’s Most Wanted is slated to release on May 24.
