Movie Baazaar starring actors Saif Ali Khan and Radhika Apte had a slow start at the box office on its opening day. The movie, which is set in the backdrop of money, power and business, largely based on the stock market, did not get good reviews, though Saif was praised for his role. When it released on October 26, it did not do so well at the start, but business picked up during the day and it earned Rs 3.07 crore on its first day.

The movie is said to have improved its earnings in the Mumbai and Gujarat belt because it is about the stock exchange and had Gujarati dialogues. In the north however, business was slow with the movie earning just Rs 50 lakhs in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh, and around Rs 20 lakhs in Punjab.

The movie though is still Saif’s best where earnings are concerned as tweeted by film trade analyst Taran Adarsh.

Baazaar, which was directed by Gauravv K. Chawla, written by Nikkhil Advani, Aseem Arora and Parveez Sheikh, had along with Saif and Radhika, debutant Rohan Mehra, and Chitrangada Singh starring in it.

The music of the film was composed by Tanishk Bagchi, Yo Yo Honey Singh, Kanika Kapoor, Sohail Sen and Bilal Saeed, while the lyrics were penned by Shabbir Ahmed, Yo Yo Honey Singh, Ikka, Jamil Ahmed, Singhsta, Hommie Dilliwala and Bilal Saeed.
