Badhaai Ho was supposed to hit theatres on October 19 but the makers decided to release it a day earlier. It may be due to its clashing with Parineeti Chopra and Arjun Kapoor’s Namaste England.
The film is a comedy drama where Nina Gupta’s (Ayushmann mother) character gets pregnant at an older age leaving everyone in the family as well as outside in shock.
The film also stars Sanya Malhotra who plays the role of Ayushmann’s love interest, Surekha Sikri, Gajraj Rao and Sheeba Chaddha in pivotal roles. In the trailer, we get to see two families, one of Ayushmann’s and the other of Sanya’s. Ayushmann comes from a middle-class family, as can be seen, while Sanya belongs to the privileged class and is a daughter of a single mother. With lots of fun moments, the trailer will definitely make you droll for the film.
The trailer also showed how the society frowns upon an elderly woman getting pregnant. It is something that the society considers to be a taboo. Ayushmann had earlier starred in a film titled Vicky Donar which too had a quirky sense of humour just like this one.
