The winners for the annual British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Awards, also known as the 69th British Academy Film Awards, were announced on February 14, 2016. The awards ceremony that saw the best of celebrities attending took place at the Royal Opera House in London. The BAFTA Awards 2016 ceremony was hosted by British comedian Stephen Fry. The winners of the BAFTA Awards 2016 include Leonardo DiCaprio and his film The Revenant, movies like Mad Max: Fury RoadBridge of Spies, Star Wars: The Force Awakens; Asif Kapadia’s documentary Amy; Leo’s Titanic co-star Kate Winslet for Steve Jobs, actress Brie Larson from Room and also best British film Brooklyn.

The legendary Ennio Morricone won a BAFTA award for his music in Quentin Tarantino’s The Hateful EightThe Revenant beat big contenders like Carol, starring Oscar Award-winning actress Cate Blanchett that didn’t win a single award, and The Danish Girl, starring Oscar Award-winning actor Eddie Redmayne. The Revenant won five honours at the BAFTA Awards 2016 while Mad Max: Fury Road won four BAFTAs.
