It’s time that we check the TRP charts as the weekend is nearing. Let’s take a look at which shows have been doing well and which aren’t. We now have come to the 35th week of the TRP charts and we don’t see ‘The Kapil Sharma Show on the list anywhere (TKSS has gone off-air) while Khatron Ke Khiladi 8 enjoys a good run in urban areas. What’s shocking is that Zee TV’s Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs, which had been ranking first on the chart for the last couple of weeks, gets a tough competition from recently started Amitabh Bachchan’s Kaun Banega Crorepati and Kumkum Bhagya. Wow!

Top 10 channels (Urban + Rural)

While Zee Anmol has taken the top position in overall GEC, Colors, Zee TV and Star Plus has taken the second, third and fourth positions respectively. On the fifth spot is the newly-launched channel Star Bharat. Om Shanti Om too seems to do well, thanks to Sonakshi Sinha and Baba Ramdev’s singing reality show. Sony Entertainment Television, Sony Pal, Rishtey, SONY SAB and STAR Utsav are the next five channels among the top 10 channels.

Top 5 shows (Urban + Rural)

Ekta Kapoor’s Kumkum Bhagya has been the most watched show this week in both urban and rural areas, while Colors’ Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 8 has ranked second. What’s shocking is that Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs which had been ranking first for a couple of weeks has dropped to the fifth spot. Zee Anmol’s Jamai Raja’s repeat telecast seems to have entertained the audience in both rural and urban market as it has taken the fourth position, while Zee TV’s Kundali Bhagya (Kumkum Bhagya’s spin-off) has taken the fifth position.

While the new shows like Khatron Ke Khiladi 8 and Mahakali Ant Hi Aarambh Hai have helped Color to rank No. 1, the most watched shows like Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Dance Plus 3 and Ishqbaaaz have pushed STAR Plus to take the second position. Sony Entertainment Television has taken the third spot, courtesy Amitabh Bachchan’s Kaun Banega Crorepati. Rohit Shetty’s Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 8 was the No.1 show this week, followed by Sony TV’s Kaun Banega Crorepati 9 and Zee TV’s Kumkum Bhagya, while Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (Sab TV) and Mahakali Ant Hi Aarambh Hai (Colors) has taken the fourth and fifth positions respectively.

Amul Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs (Zee TV), Kundali Bhagya (Zee TV), Shakti – Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki (Colors), Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (Star Plus) and Dance Plus 3 (Star Plus) complete the top ten list. Divyanka Tripathi’s Yeh Hai Mohabbatein (Star Plus) and Nakuul Mehta-Surbhi Chandna’s Ishqbaaaz has ranked fourteen and fifteen respectively.

Divyanka Tripathi’s most popular show Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, Nakuul Mehta-Surbhi Chandna starrer Ishqbaaaz are in the fourteen and fifteen position on the TRP chart respectively. Both the shows air on Star Plus.

Zee Anmol, Sony Pal, Rishtey, STAR Bharat, Zee TV, STAR Utsav, Colors, DD National, STAR Plus and Big Magic are the top 10 channels in the rural market.

Kundali Bhagya, Micromax Cup Sri Lanka vs India 2017 4 ODI (DD National, Kumkum Bhagya, Zee Anmol’s Tashan E Ishq and Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon-Ek Bar Phir that airs on Star Utsav complete the top ten list. Khatron Ke Khiladi 8 and Amul Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs, which are a huge hit in the urban areas, has taken the thirteen and sixteen position respectively in rural belts.
