Mahesh Babu’s Bharat Ane Nenu has been a blockbuster hit worldwide. Despite releasing in just one language – Telugu, the film became the fastest Telugu movie to gross Rs 200 crore, making a non-Baahubali record. By Day 19 of its release, the Mahesh Babu – Kiara Advani starrer, directed by Koratala Siva, raked in Rs 230 crore at the worldwide box office. And now, there is some more good news that will only take the Bharat Ane Nenu profits a notch higher.

The political drama is all set to be dubbed in Tamil and release in Kollywood. Interestingly, the film was the first to release in Tamil Nadu post the end of the TFPC strike. And now, it will release in Tamil for the non-Telugu audience there. The film had been a hit in Chennai already and  made Rs 27 lakh on opening day, beating the day 1 records of other Tollywood films – Ram Charan’s Rangasthalam (Rs 26 lakh) and Pawan Kalyan’s Agnyaathavaasi (Rs 24 lakh).  The three weeks total in Chennai city gross is Rs 1.63 crore and still has three shows running there – two inside the Chennai city and one in the outskirts in Mayajaal.

Reports also suggest that while the makers always wanted to release the film in Tamil as well, they didn’t find any takers due to the content of the film. Since it takes on the sorry state of politics and politicians in the country, many were skeptical about getting into a controversy. However, the producers DVV Entertainment has now decided to dub the film in Tamil and release it in TN. The film Bharat Ane Nenu will be titled as Bharat for Kollywood release.

Meanwhile, there are also hushed discussions in the industry that Mahesh Babu and Koratala Siva might reunite for a sequel to this blockbuster. Well, we are sure audience will welcome the film Bharat Ane Nenu 2 with the same love and perhaps it’s box office collections will be higher than the first part.
