In a tragic incident that struck the entire Bhojpuri film industry,(Bhojpuri) actress Manisha Rai, was killed in a road accident at 8: 30 pm on Friday in Ballia district in Uttar Pradesh. The actress was 45-years-old. Superintendent of Police S P Ganguly, informed the media stating, “Manisha Rai, a Bhojpuri film, actor died on the spot,” she said. She was on her way to a nearby shooting site with her associate Sanjiv Mishra on the motorcycle, Ganguly said. The actress’ body has been sent for post mortem.

Meanwhile, the police are on the lookout for the driver. Mishra has reportedly also sustained injuries in the accident.
