Bigg Boss 9 contestant Mandana Karimi married businessman Gaurav Gupta on January 25 this year. The two had a dreamy wedding which most couples only dream of. Within six months of this, things are not really hunky-dory between the two. Mandana has filed a case of domestic violence against Gupta at the Andheri Magistrate Court yesterday.
In her petition, the former Bigg Boss contestant has asked to be paid Rs 10 lakh as maintenance every month for her basic needs in addition to a compensation of Rs 2 crore for the loss of her career and business and the trauma she had to go through. The Iranian beauty’s petition also mentioned that Gupta insisted she converted to Hinduism before they tied the knot in January this year. Karimi was reportedly forced to say goodbye to her acting and modelling career as Gupta thought it did not go well with his family’s ‘status’ in the society. In addition to this, the former model has also stated that she was harassed by her mother-in-law.
When Mid-day got in touch with Mandana to get details on this she said, “I was thrown out of my matrimonial house seven weeks ago. I made desperate attempts to reconcile with them, but my in-laws didn’t allow me back. Gaurav has cut me off.”
This has indeed come as a huge shock to the fans of the Bigg Boss contestant as Karimi and Gupta were together for two years before the latter proposed the model for marriage.
