it’s raining good news for birthday boy Sivakarthikeyan. Firstly his film ‘Remo’ became highly successful at the box office and did very well. Though it faced a lot of controversies and faced a lot of flak for its content, which glorified stalking, but the film was received well, and he emerged a winner despite all the controversies. And now the title of his latest movie with director Mohan Raja has been unveiled. It is said to be an action thriller, which has Nayanthara teaming up with the ‘Rajini Murugan’ star for the first time. As the ‘Maan Karate’ star celebrates his birthday today, the makers took to Twitter and announced the title as ‘Velaikkaren’ which is also the title of the 1987 Superstar Rajinikanth-Amala starrer directed by S.P. Muthuraman.
The film is produced by 24 Am Studios, which had also produced Sivakarthikeyan’s earleir film ‘Remo’. The highlight of this upcoming film is the huge star cast, which includes Nayanthara as the film lead, Prakash Raj, Fahadh Faasil, Sneha, Rohini, RJ Balaji and Sathish in pivotal roles. The film is said to be a thriller which will also be a commercial entertainer with a strong social angle. Anirudh Ravichander, who had earlier churned a couple of successful albums for Sivakarthikeyan’s film, will scoring music for this film and this will be the fifth time they will be working together.
The interesting part is that the film’s lead actresss Nayanthara’s other film ‘Dora’ will thrill viewers with its teaser on Friday. The video will reportedly revolve around her role and attempts to give a glimpse at her characterisation in the flick. It is a horror film, directed by Doss Ramasamy. The female-centric film also has Thambi Ramaiah, Shan, Harish Uthaman and others in supporting roles.
