Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan, who was granted bail in the blackbuck poaching case, has reached Jodhpur today for his blackbuck poaching case hearing, which is to be held tomorrow at the court. The actor was snapped by the paparazzi as he was exiting Jodhpur airport. A news agency (ANI) took to thier official handle on Twitter to confirm th news. The tweet read, “Bollywood actor Salman Khan arrives at Jodhpur Airport ahead of hearing in #blackbuckpoachingcase tomorrow.”
Last month, the actor was convicted by the Jodhpur central jail in the 1998 black buck poaching case, while other actors, who are Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Neelam and Sonali Bendre, were acquitted. The court, reportedly, awarded Salman Khan ‘five years in jail for killing the endangered blackbuck in the case’, bringing disappointments to his fans and family and friends from the film industry. For the uninitiated, the actor was accused of poaching a black-buck while shooting for the movie, Hum Saath Saath Hain in 1998. Along with Salman, Sonali Bendre, Saif Ali Khan, Tabu and Neelam too were accused of poaching blackbucks during the shoot of their film in Jodhpur. Reportedly, two endangered species, those are protected under the Wildlife Protection Act, had been killed on the outskirts of Kankani village near Jodhpur. Watch this space for further updates.
