Akshay Kumar who has been roped in for the Hindi remake of the Tamil film Kanchana along with Kiara Advani has kick-started the first schedule of the film.
After helming the Tamil franchise, Raghava Lawrence is directing the horror-comedy film in Hindi titled Laaxmi Bomb. Lawrence took to social media to share the news along with a photo of himself with Akshay. He wrote, “Hi dear friends and fans! Shooting of Hindi remake of ‘Kanchana’, starring the great Akshay Kumar Sir, has began. Need all your blessings”.
Reports suggest that the film will also star Amitabh Bachchan who will play the role of a transgender. A report in India Today suggests that Big B has already given a nod to the film and his scenes will be shot soon. Apart from Akshay and Kiara, the Hindi remake will also star Tusshar Kapoor.
Akshay was last seen in Kesari which did wonders at the Box Office. The film also starred Parineeti Chopra who recently released the female version of ‘Teri Mitti.’ Akshay will next be seen in Good News with Kareena Kapoor Khan. Recently, Akshay took to his Instagram handle to share the news and wrote, “#GoodNews for a good start to the new year! See you on 27th December!”. The film was earlier supposed to release in September but has now been postponed to December.
