Alia Bhatt made her big Bollywood debut with Student of The Year and post that she was seen playing challenging roles in films like Highway, Udta Punjab, Raazi among others. Recently, the actor talked about doing Hollywood films and said that she would love to star in one soon.
In a recent interview with news agency PTI, Alia Bhatt said, “I do hope to go there (Hollywood) someday and soon. That is like entering a whole new industry and that is not easy at all. I will have to do it with some more time on my hand”.
Alia will soon be seen in Kalank which is releasing on April 17. Post that, she will be seen in Brahmastra, Inshallah and will also be making her Telugu debut with SS Rajamouli’s RRR.
Talking about choosing challenging roles, Alia said, “All the characters that I have lined up are difficult and challenging. I am aiming at nailing them. That is my vision… My choices are instinctive. It comes from my gut. When I listen to a narration and if I like it, I do it”.
“I had never thought I would be (bankable actor) but I did hope for it. I have always hoped and dreamt big,” she added.
She then went on to talk about RRR and said that she is am prepping for it. When asked about learning Telugu, she replied, “It’s tough, but I think I’ll be good at it. I am having fun.” She also expressed her happiness of working with a blockbuster filmmaker like SS Rajamouli, Alia said, “He was on my bucket list of directors. Not only because of Baahubali, of course, that was a very big factor but also because of his imagination. Right from Magadheera to Eega, these concepts are simply mind-blowing. He is truly an artist and understands his audience, the people he is making the film for. His emotions and story are so powerful, likewise with RRR, he has a very powerful story to tell”.
