Actress Kangana Ranaut recently slammed Bollywood actors Alia Bhatt and Aamir Khan for not supporting Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. Now, the dimpled beauty has reacted to it saying that she didn’t upset Kangana intentionally. Alia stated that she will apologise to the latter on a personal level. She was speaking to the media during the promotions of her upcoming film, Gully Boy with Ranveer Singh.

PTI quoted Alia saying, “I hope she doesn’t dislike me and I don’t think she dislikes me. I don’t think I have done anything intentionally to upset her. If I have, I will apologise to her on a personal level.”

The actress went on to say that she is an admirer of Kangana’s work and never intended to upset her. She said, “But I have always said that I have admired her a lot as an actor and a person. She is very outspoken and it takes courage to be that way. I wasn’t aware of this problem or anything, I was busy with the shooting. So yes, what can I say, I don’t want to upset anybody.”

Recently, Kangana stated that just because she spoke on nepotism, Bollywood celebs have ganged up against her. The actress also vowed to expose each and everyone from the industry. She said, “What Bollywood is doing, the planning and plotting, one thing is for sure, earlier I used to call them out for sexism, nepotism or pay disparity, but now I’ll be after them. ‘Inki vaat laga dugi’. I’ll expose each and every one. They have asked for trouble by ganging up against me.”

It seems like the storm surrounding Manikarnika will not die down anytime soon.

On a related note, Alia’s Gully Boy is all set to hit the screens on February 14. The movie is directed by Zoya Akhtar.
