Alia Bhatt‘s mother Soni Razdan recently talked about how much she loved the teaser of her daughter’s upcoming film Kalank. The teaser released a few days back and was received well by the audience. The grandeur and the breathtaking visuals of the film got a special mention by the audience. And now Mrs Bhatt has also said what the audience has been saying since long: that Kalank gives the feel of a Sanjay Leela Bhansali‘s film.
In her latest interview with entertainment portal Pinkvilla, Alia’s mother praised Kalank and said, “Wow, I haven’t seen anything further than the teaser. But, it’s really like a Sanjay Leela Bhansali film in the kinds of appearance, grandeur and the creation of the era. What a spectacle!” Now, this is the same feeling that everyone had while watching the teaser. Even social media seemed abuzz with the same comments. Watch the teaser here:
With its larger-than-life characters, the royal appeal, the giant sets, and exaggerated dance sequences, Kalank has everything that makes a signature Bhansali film like Padmaavat, Bajirao Mastani or Devdas. However, this doesn’t mean that Kalank is any less stunning. The teaser has promised a wonderful cinematic experience and it will be interesting to see how the trailer of the film adds to this excitement.
Apart from Alia, the film also features Sonakshi Sinha and Madhuri Dixit as female leads. Directed by Abhishek Varman, Kalank stars Varun Dhawan opposite Alia, Aditya Roy Kapur opposite Sonakshi and Sanjay Dutt opposite Madhuri. It’s slated to hit the screens on April 17.
Meanwhile, it’s Alia Bhatt’s 26th birthday today, on March 15. The actress began her day by celebrating it with her parents and a few close friends. Spotted at her birthday party last night were beau Ranbir Kapoor, mentor Karan Johar and the director of his upcoming film Ayan Mukerji. Designer friend Masaba Gupta and others also made sure they are adding all the sparkles at Alia’s party.
