Alok Nath’s wife, Ashu Singh has moved to court against writer-producer Vinta Nanda who alleged that the Sanskaari actor had raped and brutalised her 19 years back. According to the reports, Ashu has lodged an application to the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate in Mumbai’s court requesting a probe in the matter. Not just Nanda, actress Sandhya Mridul also accused the veteran actor of harassing her. Later, actress Himani Shivpuri also came ahead to talk about Alok Nath’s troublesome behaviour under the influence of alcohol.
However, in her statement to the media earlier, accused Alok Nath has denied all the allegations against him. Referring to rape, he said that ‘it’ might have happened but he is not the one who committed it. His statement read, “Neither I am denying this nor do I would agree with it. It (rape) must have happened, but someone else would have done it”.
In the wake of the ongoing #MeToo movement, Nanda wrote a long Facebook post alleging that Alok Nath had misbehaved with the actress of 90s popular show, Tara, on the sets, and when she raised her voice against him, she was assaulted. She alleged that her drinks were mixed and later when she woke up the next morning, she was in pain and that’s how she realised she was raped by the actor. Her disturbing post r ead, “I was invited to a party to this man’s house, his wife, my best friend was out of town. As the evening flowed, my drinks were mixed and I began to feel strange. Then at around 2 am I left his house. I started to walk home on the empty streets although the distance to my own house was long. Midway I was accosted by this man who was driving his own car and he asked me to sit in it and said he would drop me home. I trusted him and sat in his car”.

The post further read, “I have faint memory after that. I can remember more liquor being poured into my mouth and I remember being violated endlessly. When I woke up the next afternoon, I was in pain. I hadn’t just been raped, I was taken to my own house and had been brutalised. I couldn’t get up for my bed”.
Alleging that the Hum Aapke Hai Koun actor becomes a different man altogether once he starts drinking, his co-star from many films, Himani Shivpuri revealed that he also got harassed by him during their days in college. She said that Alok entered into her hostel room drunk and refused to move out.
