After Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani, actor Amitabh Bachchan is expected to join the cast of Hindi remake of Kanchana titled Laaxmi Bomb. The film has already gone the floors with the two lead stars and now, Big B might start shooting for his character which is quite crucial to the film’s narrative. As reported by a news portal, the veteran actor will be seen playing a transgender character in the film. The character is the one who turns into a ghost and possesses a man in the story. While there’s no confirmation on the same, this is going to be a never-seen-before role for Bachchan if he agrees to do it.

A report in India Today suggests that the legendary star has already given his nod and his scenes will be shot soon. Laaxmi Bomb is being directed by Raghava Lawrence who helmed the Tamil series and also acted in it. A report in Mumbai Mirror earlier revealed that Raghava wanted to cast either Amitabh Bachchan or Sanjay Dutt in the role of the transgender ghost because of the depth of their voice. And now, seems like he actually managed to convince the former for the role.

Laaxmi Bomb features Akshay Kumar as a man who doesn’t fear ghost and Kiara Advani in the character of his wife. The film is being currently shot in Mumbai as the makers are eyeing an early 2020 release for Laaxmi Bomb. It is reported that after finishing the first shoot schedule in Mumbai, Akshay will move to film Sooryavanshi with Rohit Shetty in Goa. The rest of the film will be shot after Akshay has completed Sooryavanshi in one go.

Laaxmi Bomb brings the Khiladi back in the horror genre after a hiatus of 12 years. He was last seen with Vidya Balan and Shiney Ahuja in Bhool Bhulaiyaa that released in the year 2007.
