Veteran actor Anupam Kher, who will next be seen playing the role of Dr Manmohan Singh in The Accidental Prime Minister, on Wednesday shared warm greetings to the former prime minister on his 86th birthday.

Based on the 2014 memoir of the same name, written by Manmohan Singh’s media adviser Sanjay Baru, The Accidental Prime Minister revolves around Singh’s life, the economist and politician who served as the Prime Minister of India from 2004 to 2014 under the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government.
Produced by Hansal Mehta, the film also stars German actor Suzanne Bernert who will be playing the role of former Congress president Sonia Gandhi. Ahana Kumra will be seen playing Priyanka and Arjun Mathur will be seen playing Rahul.
Earlier, when the look of the whole cast was unveiled, it was almost difficult for one to believe that the ones in the frame are reel and not real. The makers surely did a great job in selecting the cast and of course, the makeup artists and costume designers for making the characters look as real as possible.
Directed by debutant Vijay Gutte, the flick is set to hit the theatres on December 21.
