Veteran actor Anupam Kher, who is currently busy with shooting for 2018 TV series New Amsterdam in the US, shared a picture on his social media page showing him and host of The Tonight Show, Jimmy Fallon. The camaraderie between the two was pretty evident, as they posed for a selfie. Anupam described meeting Jimmy as a wonderful and a humbling feeling as they both admired one another’s work.
Taking to his Instagram page, Anupam shared the picture with a caption that read, “When you meet someone whose work you admire says he is a fan of your work, it is a wonderful and a humbling feeling. Thank you dear @jimmyfallon for your warmth, appreciation and generosity. It was a pleasure meeting you. You are not only a great talk show host, actor, writer, singer but also a very genuine human being.”

About New Amsterdam, it is an American medical drama television series, based on the book Twelve Patients: Life and Death at Bellevue Hospital by Eric Manheimer. The series, which premiered on September 25, 2018 on NBC, was created by David Schulner and stars Ryan Eggold, Freema Agyeman, Janet Montgomery, Jocko Sims, Anupam Kher and Tyler Labine.
Back home, Anupam’s latest movie is The Accidental Prime Minister, which delves into the tenure of former Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. It is based on a 2014 memoir by Indian policy analyst Sanjaya Baru, who was Manmohan Singh’s media advisor from May 2004 to August 2008. According to the book, the former PM was never entirely in control of his cabinet or even the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO). It said the power was wielded by then Congress party’s president Sonia Gandhi.
Directed by Vijay Ratnakar Gutte and produced by Hansal Mehta, the film also stars Akshaye Khanna, who played Sanjaya Baru, German actor Suzanne Bernert, Ahana Kumra, Arjun Mathur. The movie was released January 11, 2019.
