Director Ayan Mukerji is as excited about the last season of Game of Thrones as most of us are. Season 8 of the epic fantasy series is going to air tonight in the West and tomorrow morning at 6: 30 am for viewers watching it in India. Ayan, like all of us – the GoT fans, can’t keep calm. He has shared his excitement in the latest Instagram post. Ayan has shared a beautiful still from the season 7 of the series in which Daenerys’ dragon decimated the Lannister army. It’s the perfect shot to add more excitement to the already hyped buzz around the show. Ayan has captioned the post as, “Can’t Wait !! 🕺🏽

The post has comments from Mouni Roy and Kartik Aaryan who also seem to be the ardent fans of the popular series. Besides anticipating Game of Thrones Season 8, Ayan is busy with his upcoming film Brahmastra. The logo of the film was recently revealed at the Kumbh Mela in the presence of the lead cast – Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. Brahmastra is also a fantasy drama, much like GoT, and has been made as a trilogy. The first part of the series is slated to hit the screens on December 20 this year with Amitabh Bachchan and Mouni Roy also playing important roles.
Recently, Ayan shared another still on Instagram revealing his inspiration behind making Brahmastra. He posted a picture of himself posing amid giant ice-capped mountains of the Himalayas and in the caption, he expressed how he has always been fascinated by the Himalayas.
The caption on his post read, “Himalaya 💥
I would never have written Brahmāstra, if not for the Himalayas. It was where the idea for the movie – the entire trilogy – came to me, and no other place on Earth could have inspired it.
How do I describe what the Himalayas make me feel?!… I just can’t, because words fall short. Their magnificence and spirituality is something I constantly keep going to, because it makes my soul better. Amongst all my travels in this world, I rate my time in the Himalayas the highest, and amongst all the things I love about India, I feel proudest that we have the Himalayas !
