After the success of AndhaDhun and Badhaai Ho last year, actor Ayushmann Khurrana has bagged a lot of interesting projects this year. The next up his sleeve is Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan which is slated to release on Valentine’s Day 2020. The makers announced the film with a peppy clip and revealed that it is a same-sex love story. Now, while this Aanand L Rai-production has already created a good buzz among the audience, it has also fetched itself two Box Office clashes.
The sequel to Shubh Mangal Saavdhan will be seen sharing the number of screens with the Kartik Aaryan–Sara Ali Khan‘s untitled romantic film and Mohit Suri’s next directorial – Malang. The romantic film directed by Imtiaz Ali was the first one to have announced its released date as Valentine’s Day 2020. After which, Malang, starring Aditya Roy Kapur, Disha Patani and Anil Kapoor, claimed the same release date. And now, the team of Ayushmann’s Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan found its way to February 2020 for release. This means there are going to be three middle-budgeted Hindi films fighting for screens on Valentine’s Day next year.
Meanwhile, Ayushmann is also busy with the post-production work of Anubhav Sinha’s Article 15 in which he plays the character of a cop. The actor is also basking in the success of AndhaDhun at the China Box Office. Ayushmann has also teamed up again with Bhumi Pednekar for Bala, which is being helmed by Stree-director Amar Kaushik. In his interview earlier, Ayushmann expressed his happiness over working with Bhumi for the third time. He also revealed that Bala is going to be a film that takes a dig at social stereotypes. Apart from these two, the actor will also be seen in Dream Girl with Nushrat Bharucha. It’s directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa and produced by Ekta Kapoor.
