Movie Badla is not slowing down at the box office anytime soon and continues to maintain a steady grip on the sixth day. The movie had been released on March 8 to positive reviews with the main stars, Amitabh Bachchan And Taapsee Pannu, getting most of the praise for their performance. Directed by Sujoy Ghosh, the film has been earning well on the weekdays too, with its total now standing at Rs 34.35 crore.
Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh had tweeted out the number, saying the way it has been trending on the weekdays shows the power of solid content. On Tuesday, the earnings did stand slightly higher than the previous day’s and on the sixth day, it had minted Rs 3.55 at the box office.
The movie, which is an official remake of the 2017 Spanish thriller Contratiempo (The Invisible Guest), had been produced by Red Chillies Entertainment in association with Azure Entertainment.
This is the second time that Amitabh and Taapsee are sharing screen space after appearing together in 2016 movie Pink, and nobody could be happier about it than the actress, who said so in an earlier interview.
“I am very excited about this film. People wait to work with him and I got to work with him twice in two years. It gives me a lot of excitement and I hope the magic gets repeated. When people say, Bachchan sir and I are a hit pair, it excites me,” PTI had quoted her as saying.
With Badla out, Taapsee is now on other projects, namely, Telegu film Game Over, Hindi movies Mission Mangal and Saand Ki Aankh. Amitabh, on the other hand, will next be seen in Telegu movie Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, Hindi movies Brahmastra and Jhund.
