He wrote, “#Badla records superb growth on Day 2… Metros/multiplexes are rocking… Day 3 [Sun] will score higher numbers… Eyes ₹ 23 cr [+/-] opening weekend 👍👍👍… On course to be a HIT… Fri 5.04 cr, Sat 8.55 cr. Total: ₹ 13.59 cr. India biz. Gross BOC: ₹ 16.03 cr.” (sic)

A remake of a Spanish thriller titled The Invisible Guest, Badla is a murder mystery and has been produced by Shah Rukh Khan. The superstar has been promoting the film with Big B by organising fun chats and taking part in social media conversations.

Earlier, when talking about her character in the film, Taapsee told IndiaWest, “I wanted to do it when the producer Sunil Khetarpal pitched the story to me. At that point of time, even Sujoy Ghosh as director was not locked, and I said I will do it if they gave me the boy’s role instead of that of the girlfriend. Sunil said he will have to discuss that, I have no idea with whom, but they finally agreed. I think they even saw a certain dynamic in Amitabh Bachchan-sir and me coming together after ‘Pink,’ again as lawyer and client, and that gave the whole story so much more dimension, and the layers automatically changed.”
