Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi is all geared up to make his debut in a Kannada film, Rustum, directed by Ravi Varma that will also star Shivarajkumar. Ravi, well known for his stunt choreography in southern films is making his directorial debut with Rustum. The film is making a lot of Buzz for its cast which consists of diverse actors from the south. While Ravi confirmed earlier that he will cast one Bollywood hero for the film but did not reveal who, rumours started making the rounds. Recently a source revealed to The New Indian Express that Vivek who was approached for the film agreed after Ravi’s to and fro trips to Mumbai. “The film’s shooting is currently on and Shivarajkumar is participating in the shoot. Vivek will be joining the sets soon,” revealed the source. Vivek, a good friend of Sudeep from the Raktacharitra days, has a lot to connect with Karnataka, now that the actor is married to Priyanka Alva, Nandini Alva’s daughter.

Vivek will be playing a pivotal role in the film but nothing has been revealed as of yet. The film also features Shraddha Srinath in the female lead and Mayuri as sister to Shivanna.  Along with Vivek, other actors who will be making their Kannada debut in the film are Harish Uthaman of Gouravam and Pandiya Naadu veteran Tamil director Mahendran of Theri. The antagonist will be played by Arjun Gowda. The film’s cinematography will be done by Naveen Kumar and music by Anoop Seelin.

Bankrolled under the banner Jayanna Combines, the film’s shooting has already started and fans are now waiting for the release of the film.
