The industry is abuzz with the marriage rumours of actor Varun Dhawan and her longtime girlfriend Natasha Dalal. After Varun clarified in an interview recently that he is too busy to get married this year, his father has now added to the same. Calling his son a ‘family-oriented man,’ filmmaker David Dhawan revealed that the family is thinking to get Varun and Natasha married next year.
In his interview with MenXP, daddy Dhawan revealed that the family is very happy with Varun-Natasha’s relationship and are looking forward to their marriage. However, it will not happen this year due to the actor’s professional commitment. He was quoted by the portal saying, “His marriage will happen next year maybe. I am very happy with their relationship. What more does a father need?”
He revealed how the family managed to celebrate Varun’s birthday in his absence. Senior Dhawan said that Varun went on a holiday for his birthday but they cut his birthday cake and had a chat with Varun on the phone. He said, “He was there and we were on the phone and Facebook with him. We cut a cake here and my granddaughter Nyra, who is not even one, joined us.” The director of the No.1 series praised Varun and said that he is a ‘homely guy’. He said he is happy to have two sons who live with him and ‘it’s an amazing feeling.’
On the work front, the father-son duo is reuniting after Judwaa remake with the remake of Coolie No. 1. The film is going to star Sara Ali Khan opposite Varun. Earlier, talking about the same, Varun told a daily that even though it’s a remake of the old film that featured Govinda and Karisma Kapoor, the story is not exactly the same. He said that the audience should expect a lot of twists in the original story as writer Farhad Samji has added many new things in the narrative.
