Actress Deepika Padukone, who last month tied the knot with actor Ranveer Singh, has in an interview revealed some of the things that she did for the first time in her life. In the interaction that was conducted by Femina India, Deepika was asked about her first pay cheque and what she spent it on. She was also asked about her first designer wear and who her first date was.
The interview was for the 59th anniversary issue of Femina, which was released in October 2018 and which featured Deepika on its cover, with a quote from her that read, “Authenticity has been my biggest learning”.
Speaking candidly, Deepika, while talking about her first pay cheque, said that she does not remember how much she got paid, but she thinks it was a couple of thousand of rupees which her dad had invested for her. Something, she said, he has always done.
On her first designer outfit, Deepika said that she is a bit conflicted as she does not remember if it was a Sabyasachi or an Abu Sandeep creation, but it was definitely one of them. She went on to say it was the first designer outfit that she bought, and it was a big deal for her as she saved up money to buy it, and that too after having modelled for them. She said she saw it as a big achievement.
She was also asked about the first person she thinks of when it comes to getting advice on life, and she said that it is her dad, Prakash Padukone. Deepika also revealed that she did many ads as a child, when asked what her first acting venture was.
When asked about her first date, Deepika said she went out without even realising that it was a date. She revealed that she was in a group and the boy she liked was also present. The age group was 13 and and they went for a movie and lunch.

On the work front, Deepika will next be shooting for director Meghna Gulzar’s Chhapaak, a movie based on acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal. She had in an earlier interview revealed that apart from acting in it, she will co-produce it too.
