Actor Deepika Padukone has donned the avatar of a regular Delhi girl for her next film Chhapaak. She plays the character of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal in the Meghna Gulzar-directorial and has been shooting for the film in the capital. Her official look from the film is already out and now, a new video of Deepika from the sets is doing the rounds on social media.

The latest viral video shows Deepika wearing a school dress, shooting outside a government girl’s school with another actor who seems to be playing her friend in the film. This is the scene before Laxmi is attacked with acid. That’s the reason Deepika isn’t seen with an acid-burn face. Watch the video here:

Earlier, another video of Deepika was leaked on social media in which she was seen shooting at a crowded Delhi market wearing a yellow coloured suit. Watch it again here:

Chhapaak is the real-life story of acid-attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal. Deepika is joined by Vikrant Massey in the film. The actor returned to Mumbai the other day after completing the first shoot schedule of the film in Delhi. The entire portion in which the actor was required to shoot with heavy prosthetics on her face has been shot in the capital at real locations. Now, in Mumbai, sets have been created where Laxmi’s life before the attack is being documented.

The first look of Deepika from the film broke the internet. Social media was abuzz with comments praising Deepika and the film’s team for creating such a realistic appearance of Laxmi on-screen.

Chhapaak brings Deepika back on screen after her performance as Rani Padmavati in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat (2018). In fact, this is after four years that the actor is working with a director other than SLB on a film in a full-fledged role.
