Deepika Padukone recently unveiled her Madame Tussauds wax statue in London earlier today. She was accompanied by her husband Ranveer Singh, parents Prakash and Ujjala Padukone and in-laws Jagjit and Anju Bhavnani.

The first thing that came out of Ranveer’s mouth after looking at the statue was “gorgeous.”  He then asked, “Can I take her home?” To this Deepika replied by saying, “Whenever you’re here, shooting for 83 and you miss me too much, you can come here..”

Deepika had announced about her statue at Madame Tussauds London in July last year and said, “It’s fun, exciting and in a way I feel a lot of gratitude because you know when you give your fans a little more than just the movies, then it’s really, really special. I hope they enjoy it as much as we enjoy creating it”.

Deepika recently featured on the Vogue us cover along with Avengers: Endgame star Scarlett Johansson and South Korean actor Bae Doona. She even took to her Instagram to share the picture.

Ranveer and Deepika yesterday took a flight to London and along with them was Varun Dhawan. Varun had shared a few videos where he talked about his “adopted parents” Deepika and Ranveer. In one of them, Deepika even mentioned how they had taken care of Varun throughout the journey and made sure he took his meals, slept well and went to the loo.

Deepika is gearing up for her next big release Chhapaak which is based on the life of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal. The actor has started preparing for her role and is currently collecting materials online. Ranveer, on the other hand, is busking on the success of his last release Gully Boy which also starred one of Bollywood’s most versatile actor Alia Bhatt.
