Janhvi KapoorIshaan Khatter starrer, Dhadak is perhaps one of the most anticipated films of 2018. The film, directed by Shashank Khaitan and produced by Karan Johar, is an official remake of Marathi film Sairat and is slated for a July 20 release date. However, the day we all had been waiting for—the trailer release, when we get to see Janhvi and Ishaan’s beautiful chemistry come to life on screen, is here and we cannot keep calm. Dhadak marks the Bollywood debut of late actress Sridevi’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor’s brother Ishaan Khatter.

From the look of the trailer, the movie seems a lot like the original film, although Dhadak has been shot in Rajasthan while Sairat was shot in Karnala, Satara in Maharashtra. Ishaan and Janhvi’s adorable and playful chemistry is the highlight of the movie. Both of them look gorgeous on screen.Moreover, the makers have incorporated the famous Marathi song, Jhingaat’s Hindi version  in the trailer. We get a glimpse of the on-screen couple dancing to the tunes of the famous foot-tapping number. From love to angst, Ishaan and Janhvi have us hooked just the way a fish takes to water. Karan Johar, who is very excited about Janhvi and Ishaan’s debut, had been treating all of us with films’ several posters and teasers. Janhvi and Ishaan’s crackling chemistry on the posters had already set tongues wagging. The two already have a considerable fan following and pictures and videos from the sets of Dhadak in Rajasthan and Kolkata went viral ever since they got leaked. Following this, the makers – Shashank Khaitan and Karan Johar – had issued a strict diktat barring everyone from bringing phones on the sets.  Well, the much-anticipated trailer has us completely in awe of the film and needless, to say, the countdown for July 20th has begun.
