After making us wait for a long time, Fanney Khan makers have finally released the teaser of the film and boy are we intrigued! The film stars Anil Kapoor in and as Fanney Khan. The film also stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Rajkummar Rao in pivotal roles. We will get to see Anil Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan share screen space on the big screen after 18 years since Humaara Dil Aapke Paas Hai. Furthermore, we will see Rajkummar Rao romance the gorgeous diva in the film.
Well, coming back to the teaser, the makers gave us a glimpse of each of these characters today. The 4-minute long video opens with the crowd cheering for ‘Fanney Khan’ and we are shown the silhouette of Anil Kapoor posing on the stage. We get a glimpse of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Rajkummar Rao’s looks in the film. Rao is then heard explaining the meaning of ‘Fanney Khan’–an artiste, entertainer, singer, musician etc with whom one can have a lot of fun.
However, he mentions the film is a narrative about one such person who changed the very meaning of this word. By the look of it, Fanney Khan is the story of a struggling musician , essayed by Kapoor, who is a taxi-driver and an aspiring musician in the film. He is seen blowing the trumpet in the end of the teaser, whilst sitting on the terrace. The musical comedy, helmed by debutant filmmaker Atul Manjrekar, and bankrolled by Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra seems to be an interesting story of realising one’s dreams no matter what.
Take a look at the teaser below :
Fanney Khan is the Hindi adaptation of the Belgian film Everybody’s Famous. It will thus be quite interesting to see the story unfold on the Indian screen. Everybody’s Famous’ story is about a father who goes to the extreme length of kidnapping a singing sensation in order for his own daughter to succeed as a singer. Thus, we are guessing Kapoor’s Fanney Khan kidnaps Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s character who is a pop star, in order to force her to teach his daughter to become a successful singer. We can’t wait any longer for August 3 this year, when the film is slated to hit screens. So, what is your opinion on watching the teaser video? Let us know in the comments’ section below.
