Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to reveal the Box Office figures of Gully Boy. He posted:
Gully Boy has enjoyed an extended weekend as it got released as a Valentine’s Day gift to the audience on Thursday, February 14. If it continues to perform with the same pace at the Box Office, which it is most likely to maintain, the film is expected to cross Rs 150 crore this week. It will be an impressive feat for the film considering the narrative is set in Mumbai and not many Hindi films with the Mumbai set-up have recorded such a massive collection at the Box Office.
Gully Boy will be Ranveer’s fifth film to be crossing Rs 100 crore and a third continuous film in the coveted club. His last two Hindi films – Simmba (2018) and Padmaavat (2018) also enjoyed a terrific run at the Box Office. On Alia’s part, it is going to be her fourth film to be crossing Rs 100 crore.
Apart from performances of the two leading stars, Gully Boy has been appreciated for Zoya’s efforts of making a beautifully inspiring story. The director, who is often deemed as a filmmaker who makes cinema for the urban audience, has shown her storytelling power. Congratulations to the team!
