Siddhant Chaturvedi aka MC Sher has won hearts of many with his outstanding performance in Zoya Akhtar’s film Gully Boy. The actor had earlier talked about his struggling days and how he knew that nobody would launch him since he did not have a “market value in terms of a name or a family background.” He has now opened up on the most discussed topic in the industry today, nepotism.
Siddhant took to his Facebook to share his thoughts on nepotism and wrote, “Nepotism. You beauty! Stop favouring your pals so much… I might get insecure, and work even harder! You slyly pass employment to your loved ones, and an opportunity for the talented to become legends. #HailNepotism #WorksforMe.” His strong words are proof that he too has witnessed something that has made him share this today.

Earlier Siddhant spoke to news agency PTI and revealed about his struggling days. “I struggled for six years and there were many rejections and low points along the way. I started from the bottom. But I always had this raging ambition to go out there and prove myself with that one perfect opportunity. I always used to think ‘ki apna time kab ayega‘,” he said.
“Playing a lead role is always the dream. But I also knew that nobody was going to launch me because I don’t have a market value in terms of a name or a family background. So, I always thought that let me be a good actor first, public will make me the star if they like me,” Siddhan added.
Siddhant’sperformance in the film has made the audience go gaga over the actor. In fact many found his performance in the film more outstandin than Ranveer Singh‘s. While talking about the best compliment he has received so far, he revealed an incident when Ranveer himself praised him during the shoot. He told Pinkvilla, “So, we are both Govinda lovers, I am a huge Govinda fan. The first song Zoya found me dancing on was Tujhe Mirchi Lagi Toh Main Kya Karun. So, off-screen we used to break into some random filmy dialogues. Ranveer was surprised and he told me, ‘You are one of the most filmy guys I have come across’. That coming from Ranveer is huge because he is filmy and how!”
