After casting Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt in the lead for his next film Inshallah, Sanjay Leela Bhansali has now talked about what made him have the two actors on board the film. In his latest interview with a news daily, Bhansali revealed how he always wanted to collaborate with Alia and Salman but was waiting for the right time.

SLB talked to Mid-day and said that every director looks out to work with good actors and Alia is a talented actor. He revealed he has been waiting to work with Alia for long. Bhansali was quoted by the director saying, “As a director, it’s always a pleasure to work with actors of their caliber, but best things happen when the time is right. Today, when the time felt right and the right roles came along, we decided to walk on this new journey. ”

When asked to comment on reuniting with Salman Khan after a hiatus of 20 years, Bhansali said that he is just glad there’s finally a story on which he and Salman can work together. The director said that he has a working relationship with Salman. “I have a working relationship with Salman, which is for keeps. There were many times in the past that we wanted to come together for a project, but finally, after 20 years, the right script came along. I am happy to be directing Salman again,” Bhansali added.

Inshallah is reportedly a love story and will be shot majorly abroad. Both Salman and Alia will be seen in never-seen-before roles and the film will do full justice to Bhansali’s style of grandeur. Further, the director is expected to shoot it entirely in European countries and the UK; the recce has already begun in Germany, Paris and London. However, unlike Bhansali’s other films which usually dealt with the complexities of emotions and were heavily dramatised, Inshallah is reportedly about celebrating life and living it to the fullest.
