Putting all speculations to rest, Bollywood’s stellar actor Irrfan Khan is finally back to work, all hale and hearty. The star is in Udaipur where the first leg of the sequel of his blockbuster movie, Hindi Medium, will be shot. Directed by Homi Adajania, the movie has been titled Angrezi Medium.
Sharing the news on his social media handle, Indian film and trade analyst, Taran Adarsh wrote, “Irrfan Khan resumes work… #AngreziMedium shooting begins in #Udaipur today [5 April 2019]… Directed by Homi Adajania… Produced by Dinesh Vijan… Will be shot in #Udaipur and #London… #AngreziMedium is the sequel to the smash hit #HindiMedium, but with a new story.”
Earlier, Irrfan had released a statement thanking all those who supported him all these months when he was being treated for cancer in New York. The actor took to social media to open his heart out on how it’s really important for a person to feel that he is loved. He posted a happy picture of himself with the heartening note that read, “Maybe somewhere in the pursuit of winning, we forget how much it means to be loved. In our vulnerability, we are reminded. As I leave my footprints onto these steps of my life, I want to pause to be grateful for receiving your immense love and support, it soothed me in my process of healing. So I travel back you, thanking you from the bottom of my heart.” (sic)
Irrfan will reportedly be joined by actors Kareena Kapoor Khan and Radhika Madan on the sequel to his 2017 hit film. Bankrolled by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films Production, the movie will also be shot in London.
