The untimely demise of actress Sridevi last year had affected many who knew her and more so her immediate family, comprising of her husband Boney Kapoor and her two daughters Janhvi and Khushi. With the anniversary of her death nearing, it is an emotional time for her family, with Janhvi, who is still reeling from the loss, sharing a heartfelt message on her social media page.

Sridevi passed away on February 24, 2018 in Dubai, UAE where she had gone with family members to celebrate the marriage of her nephew Mohit Marwah, and her death had left a gap in the lives of many. Janhvi shared a post on her Instagram page that hinted something along those lines with her caption reading, “My heart will always be heavy. But I’ll always be smiling because it has you in it.”

The rest of her family decided to mark the anniversary of her death by doing something worthwhile for charity. In an earlier report, it was revealed that Boney decided to auction a saree that had belonged to her for a charitable cause.

The auction took place on Parisera and the website had created a page which was dedicated to Sridevi. The tag line read, “Being Generous, With Sridevi” and below it, it had a tribute to her. As per the description, the Kapoor family will donate the money from the auction of Sridevi’s beloved Kota saris to Concern India Foundation.

Sridevi, who will always be remembered for her roles in movies like Julie, Himmatwala, Mr. India, English Vinglish and a host of others, had passed away at the age of 54 due to accidental drowning.
