Just a day before the release of Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, actor Kangana Ranaut has refused to bow down to Shri Rajput Karni Sena. The actor was launching a jewellery collection inspired by her film when she said that she fears no one and has never apologised for anything when she knows she isn’t wrong.

Kangana was quoted by IANS saying, “I will not apologize to anybody. I have never apologized whenever I haven’t made a mistake. We have promised that we haven’t shown anything wrong about Rani Laxmibai in the film so, they should support us.” She went on to say, “Rani Laxmibai is not my relative and I feel she is the daughter of the entire country so, we all should support the film. Shri Rajput Karni Sena should not play their ego card with me because I am not here to say sorry to anyone.”

Earlier, Maharashtra Karni Sena released a statement claiming Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi insults Rani Laxmibai with scenes depicting a British officer falling in love with her. However, Kangana revealed that the film doesn’t paint the brave queen in any negative way, adding that it’s a patriotic film made with heart. Giving it back to the threats issued by the radicle outfit, Kangana said, “Four historians have certified Manikarnika… . We have got a censor certificate as well. Karni Sena has been conveyed this but they are continuing to harass me. If they don’t stop then they should know I am also a Rajput and I will destroy each one of them.”
