Actress Kangana Ranaut has definitely outdone herself this time, directing parts of a movie while also starring in it. The movie in question is Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, which had its trailer released on December 18. The trailer was received well by her fans, but it was Kangana’s mother, Asha Ranaut, who felt the most pride in her daughter.
In a photo that was shared on Instagram by Kangana’s sister Rangoli Chandel, the actress can be seen posing with her mother, both of them beaming. The caption for the picture read, “Proud mom says: Out of all the daughters in the world I am so glad u r mine!!”

In another picture shared on her team account, Kangana, who was dressed in a red saree, is seen touching the feet of writer Vijeyandra Prasad at the trailer launch in gratitude for the Manikarnika script. The caption started with, “A Director always revers a great story.”
The film is a biopic on the life of one of the most celebrated female Indian warrior, Queen of Jhansi, Rani Laxmibai. Kangana plays the titular role. The trailer opens by introducing Manikarnika as the fearless woman who’s also equally beautiful and vulnerable. She has the ability to woo anyone with both her strength and beauty. Kangana seems to have perfectly fit the character.
The trailer also gives a glimpse of the other important characters in the film, Ankita Lokhande and Danny Denzongpa, who appear all sharp and powerful in their roles. The movie will release on January 25.
