Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi starring actress Kangana Ranaut has been earning big at the box office, and also garnered a lot of praise from people who have watched it. However, there are some who are not very happy with how things have gone, and one such person is director Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi, better known as Krish. In an interview, Krish had lambasted Kangana, saying that she has turned what he has directed into silver from gold.
His comments did not sit well with Kangana’s sister Rangoli, who in turn took to Twitter to slam him and tell him to leave the Manikarnika star alone. Krish had left Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi halfway to direct another movie.
Manikarnika, which clashed with Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer Thackeray, is currently on top after making Rs 8.75 crore on its first day, followed by Rs 18.10 crore on the second day. By the third day, it had earned Rs 42.55 crore in total. Kangana received a lot of praise, not only for her portrayal of Rani Laxmibai and her fight against the British, but also for directing the movie.
Director Krish, on the other hand, has in an interview with IANS revealed that he never left the film incomplete, and that he had directed 70 per cent of it. He said he chose to remain quiet before for the sake of the film and the entire team, but now if he did not speak out against Kangana and what she did to the film, he would be doing a disservice to all their hard work.
He also said that what he had directed was pure gold, and it was turned into silver by Kangana when she had taken up the role of director.
