Every parent is proud of their children’s achievements whether it be academically or career wise, and a great accomplishment is usually celebrated with great jubilation. However, some parents do it with some trepidation, like actor Saif Ali Khan. Saif is, as per reports, hesitant to watch movie Kedarnath, in which his daughter Sara Ali Khan made her Bollywood debut.

According to Bollywood Hungama, Saif is not only hesitant but petrified of watching the movie starring Sara alongside Sushant Singh Rajput, and even his wife Kareena Kapoor Khan’s coaxing will not get him to do it. Sara’s mother and Saif’s former wife Amrita Singh has seen bits and pieces of the movie, but the Baazaar actor has not taken even a peek at the clips that Kedarnath director Abhishek Kapoor had sent to him.

When asked the reason why, the online portal was told, “He is just petrified to watch Sara on screen. Kareena keeps urging him to watch Kedarnath. But, Saif keeps putting it off.”

Saif was asked the same during an interview, and he had answered, “No I haven’t seen Kedarnath yet. But, I will very soon.”

Sara, on her part, is believed to have done a good job, and has even received a lot of praise for her performance from moviegoers and fans alike.

Kedarnath, which is a movie set against the backdrop of the 2013 deluge, was written, directed and co-produced by Abhishek Kapoor. It was produced by Ronnie Screwvala of RSVP Movies and Abhishek Kapoor of Guy in the Sky Pictures, along with Pragya Kapoor and Abhishek Nayyar.

The film is based on an inter-faith love story between a wealthy Hindu girl who takes a pilgrimage to the historic Kedarnath Temple and a humble Muslim boy who becomes her guide. It was released on December 7 and received mixed-positive reviews, with Sara getting most of the praise for her debut performance.
