Sara Ali Khan and Sushant Singh Rajput are promoting Kedarnath these days. The film is set to take over the screens from tomorrow, December 7. Both the stars have been talking about the film and their chemistry in the media. During one promotional interview, the actress was asked to comment on her on-screen kiss with Sushant and was it difficult for her to perform. A confident Sara not only denied any possibility of feeling awkward while performing the scene but also explained how it’s not a big deal.
Sara was talking to Bollywoodlife when she said she wasn’t nervous during the filming of the particular scene. Sara elaborated, “As a performer when you’re doing any scene, it’s your duty to feel what your character feels. So, if I’m being honest with you, the kissing scene was one of the easiest scenes for me because it’s a very easy way to show intense love. Because your eyes are shut and you’re kissing somebody, as opposed to everything else. So, I was not nervous. I was quite relieved that that was the way we had to show it rather than something more tricky to do.”
She also talked about how she gels well with Sushant. In the same interview, when asked about her bonding with the actor as a newcomer, the actress was prompt to accept that Sushant was all professional on the sets and therefore, it wasn’t difficult for her to shoot. She said, “Working with Sushant was very amazing. Whether it was shooting in the cold or rain, he set the tone very professional. So, everybody had to follow suit. So, the chemistry had to be there because you had to match his energy”.
In Kedarnath, while Sara plays the character of a Hindu tourist, Sushant essays the role of a Muslim ‘pithoo‘. Directed by Abhishek Kapoor, the film is a love story between the two set in the backdrop of the devastating 2013 Uttarakhand flood.
