Setting fans on frenzy by releasing new posters of his upcoming film Kesari, actor Akshay Kumar recently shared glimpses from the film based on Battle of Saragarhi. Looking convincing as Havildar Ishar Singh, with a chakram (a circular weapon) in one hand and a glinting sword in the other, Akshay seems ready to fight off the 10,000 Afghan soldiers.

Taking to his Instagram handle, Akshay shared the first glimpse which hid his look well and showed only a man with war artillery as he looks on at the encroaching enemies to the sound of drums beating and an army of soldiers running around with swords. As the sound of the drums intensifies, we see thousands of fighters gathering in a fort while we get to see only the back of Akshay’s character. The first part was captioned, “It’s an UNBELIEVABLE TRUE STORY. In the second part, we see a soldier, presumably Akshay, on fire, walking towards a group of Afghan soldiers and thumping a victory fist in the air which reeks with flames. Akshay captioned the second part as, “This Holi, let the color of courage take over you because this is the bravest battle ever fought! Finally, in the third part we get a glimpse of Akshay as he stands waiting before a fort with his army of barely 21 soldiers while the 10,000 Afghan enemies run in their direction. Aiming his gun at them, we see Akshay giving out the war cry before he fires from a hideout. Akshay captioned the last part as, “It was 21 SIKHS fighting against 10,000 INVADERS. #GlimpsesOfKesari TRAILER OUT ‪ON 21ST FEBRUARY‬ #KesariTrailer21Feb @parineetichopra #AnuragSingh @karanjohar @apoorva1972 @SunirKheterpal @dharmamovies #CapeOfGoodFilms #AzureEntertainment @zeestudiosofficial” (sic).

Also starring actress Parineeti Chopra, the film will hit cinema screens this Holi, on March 21 and is being produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions with Anurag Singh helming it.
